[dev1031] NMs: Droprate increasing by hitting weakspots?

    Heya everyone(communty + Dev-team + Yoshida + Moogles)!

So, many people say that you can rise droprates from the new NMs to nearly 100% by finding their weak-spots and attack them.
(fictive example: attacking the right leg + left arm and doing a WS on Kokoroon increases Body drop)

If that's true, how do you guys think about that?

As for myself I don't like that idea for every NM.

Ya see, I want to focus on the battle and try to hit the weak spots (if avaible), but just to gain an advantage in the battle, the droprate shouldn't be affected by that.

For certain HNMs (Dodore, Gob NM etc and in the future) that is/would be great
    but not for every NM.

(I also could be rude and just say "introduce a Thief job that can raise the droprate, just like many people want!" but I won't do tha~....Ow, I just did it D: )

If someone else opened a thread that is similiar to this one, then I'm terribly sorry!

    There are no HNM's...

And no, damaging body parts doesnt increase drop rates, but for NM's with horns (Buffalo and mosshorn) Incapacitating the horns is the only way you will get it to drop.

Aye, many ppl call Buffallo as "HNM"s nowadays since new NMs are out.

And like I said, I also mean HNMs in the future.

As u said about the horn... something like that is great! it becomes more realistic.

I just hope that these are just rumors that are going around D:

I'm not sure if it is for the new NMs or not, I've personally tested incapacitating the right arm on Kokoroon and have not seen any significant changes as far as drop rates, etc. goes. I'm still at about 15 scale mails and only 1 bow drop. So I would say incaps don't do anything on these particular NMs, however some NM incaps do cause/increase item chances (horns on buffalo, right arm on gob for sword, etc.)

actually no i have seen the horn drop from the buffalo without breaking either horn. it is same as billy as in you can get a drop without incap, but drop rate is almost zero.

Not like you couldn't hack the horn off after its dead. :P

...But I guess I always thought the FF steal skill was sheer idiocy too!

I've killed millions of billies, and no horn drop ever unless ive broken them off. drop rate is less than 0.5% unless you do lol.
