Cant play without using a VNP (Using Spotflux)

Have you tried running a trace route to the lobby server to find where the problem is? Use WinMTR if you are unfamiliar and the address is neolobby02.ffxiv.com

Its actualy pretty simple, when you used VPN, you're taking another route to the servers, the server IP change. Some server have lag, some don't and they remember what server each character as. So you always end up on the same server unless you take a new route.

Many servers per realm to offset load.

Hope it helps, use VPN until they fix the problem.

Too check server ip: cmd ---> netstat or use the resource monitor

The thing is im not able to connect AT ALL without the use of a VPN. If i do not use a VPN, I get the error 2002 unable to connect to servers.

I been on forums for the past week, I been reading pretty much everything. Some get on server with little lag, they never dc. Some have more lag, they dc after a few mins with error 90k. some can't even login at all since that server is so laggy, they lose too many packet before even login in.

Personnaly, my server was very bad last night, I dced about 30 times with error 90k. lucky I use a ssd so I can log back pretty fast. I don't get error 3102 anymore.

There a dude on this forum that as your problem, he even posted a youtube vid. Its pretty much the same problem we all have but to the extreme.

Artanas, try the trace route again, but use the IP 199.91.189.74. If that works, it is a DNS issue. The server changes might take several days to propagate to some DNS servers.
