    GPU and Character problems

    Short and sweet:

    1. The character I created and the character displayed when I log in look different. For example, my character has no hair or facial features such as tattoos, etc.

    2. Probably related to the other problem, but when I log in and set my video settings, it only shows one GPU in my "display driver" drop down box. I play on a Sager notebook with an AMD 97** series card. The only option to choose from is the Intel 4000 card.

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

From what I have seen, there is an issue with the game and the benchmark software not always properly displaying what graphics card it is using.
Pay close attention to the specs that it is saying that the "Intel-HD" card has, if it is something like 3gb or whatever your actual graphics card is supposed to have, it is likely using your actual graphics card but displaying the name of the "Intel-HD" integrated graphics processor.

To make sure that your card is being used, go into your graphics card properties in Windows, for example with me I right-click and go into "Nvidia Control Panel". From there you should be able to find a way to set the program/game to always use your graphics card and not the integrated Intel graphics processor.

    Hope that helps.

you can always open up control panel and tell your system to only use your discrete GPU, i've had to that before for games to use it instead of the onboard!

This sounds like you need to set the AMD card as your default in Windows, quite common issue when machines have on board video cards.

You either need to disable your on board device or prioritise it within your catalyst control center.

I have the same kinda setup, the Sager laptops are annoying in the fact that you can't completely bypass the intel chipset. You have to rightclick and if you have the Switchable graphics box, open that up and make sure the client is running on the appropriate setting for max/plugged in.

Regardless what the drop down box said in game, which always seems to say Intel HD4000, it should be running using the Radeon card since I have the same laptop as you and am running on Maximum.

Thanks for all the replies. Has anyone experienced the problem with their character changing looks? I've noticed it's only hair. Specifically buzzed hair and facial hair. Any hair design I use that has any buzzed hair or facial hair, it simply disappears.
