Seriously cut the crap of cross-server dungeons will kill the social aspect of the game. Yes i did enjoy making parties in both FFXI and WOW(before they added cross-server auto-grouping).. It was fun and i did make a lot of friends that way. But that was way back when i was younger and had no job or anything special to do...

Now i do not have 1h+ to spend just to look for parties. 1h is pretty much the total time i can allocate to the game during a day and i don't want to waste it trying to find a party. I want to be able to login and pick up the game right away and play.

Yes some of you are hardcore gamers and spend 80% of your day in a mmo but not everyone is like that.

Also the game does not have an large enough active user base for a system where you need to look for people manually within your own server. When the game will have reached a user base above 5M and that finding a party will be quite an easy task, then i'd be glad to get rid of the cross-server system.
    +1 but for different reasons.

Cross server instances que are garbage and have no place in this game.

And for the people that think WoW is the next gen game, stop flooding these forums and go play WoW. Final Fantasy XIV needs to make its own name outside of ripping off Western MMO ideas (which are teribad IMO anyway).

If Yoshi P listens to these blind WoW migrated players and implements this there will be a lot of people out on this game the day he announces it.

I'm with the OP on this one, and Jibe I played WoW also... cross server grouping did nothing to that game. The game had a bad community from the start. They let it be bad. I've also seen a few ffxi servers that were pretty bad. Cross server grouping doesn't make anyone a holes. That will always be a holes. FFxi got a good bit of them, no one cares about community rep anymore. All ppl care about are leveling, end game and gear. If people truely cared about their community rep, these forums wouldn't be so bad.

cross server grouping will probly be for dungeons and raids only. And will prob be optional. So there is no good reason not to have it. The only reasons ppl are giving will happen regardless. And basing your dislike just because WoW has it, is pretty silly considering everyone who does it, also told me I can't do that.

Sorry but kinda getting annoyed with ppl who pull that stuff "its in WoW so I hate it", or "i don;t want it, just for sake of not wanting it" Sorry but these statements hurt more.

(off topic)Actually Jamel FFXIII was immersive to some degree, the story driven game got you immersed in the story and in the characters but compared to other FF titles it was severely lacking. Agree to disagree perhaps?

To each their own, the wet noddle siting out in my back yard by my pool has more depth and character development then majority of the characters on FFXIII. The storyline was just to over the top FFXII had no storyline so they attempted to fix it with FFXIII which was nothing but storyline. But i agree it was a decent game all in all.

Sorry, but I'm not basing my dislike "just because WoW has it". I'm basing my dislike on the fact that I've had experience with it (yes in WoW), and don't like it. Just because the experience I had with it was in WoW doesn't mean that I don't like it "just because WoW has it".

I'm sorry, but in addition to playing it with the auto-dungeon finder, many of the people I knew on WoW, including 2 RL friends that I grew up with and have known for 20+ years have said that the game changed for the worse after dungeon finder was implemented. I choose to believe them who I've known and trust, rather than a stranger who lives in the FF14 forums, yet doesn't play the game.

EDIT: Is there a way to blacklist people on the forums? It's very hard for me to ignore Kilta and I just need to stop seeing her posts.

To the OP if you only have roughly an hour to play an MMO when do you even expect to be able to hit 50 and run an end game dungeon? Also goodluck being auto grouped if your melee, those classes are extremely aboundant so you will be waiting in qeue regardless you'll have more luck going with an ls group anyways . . . . .

Seriously offline games are more tailored to your play needs and time requirements. MMO's most certainly are not tailored to your available video game time.

I am not trying to be mean I am just constructively answering to your original post and from my experiences as a MMO player.

So what gives anyone the right to say a casual gamer or someone with limited time cannot play an MMO? If they choose to pay for it and support the game then they are entitled to just as much as someone who plays the game for more than 20 hours a week. I understand what you are saying atleast about time consumption games but when they was making FFXIV they said they was aiming for the casual players as well. They made content for people who can play only for 30 minutes to an hour and those are guild leves and NMs and all that stuff.

I'm surprised no one has asked if Dungeons would be for leveling (not the Raid ones, just the regular).

If regular "dungeons" are intended for leveling, then i think it would be a more welcome feature.

You still have an option to ignore you now .... You do not have to function if you do not like it. You can go look manually or try to do something with your linkshell. I hardly used the dungeon finder in WoW, because I only did runs with my guild.
This is very true. I really do not want this to be implemented, but if they do decide to throw it into the game, at least my linkshell is awesome enough that I can completely and utterly ignore it if need be.
