graphic Glitch ( Polygon Stretching )

Some of you might have this problem of seeing his character or other characters (players, NPC, etc..) gets stretched in a weird way, like his leg goes waaayy over a side or a part of a character's head gets stretched away from him/her, or sometimes seeing a monster with half part of it being normal and the other half is stretched out... to make it simple, polygons of some characters just stray away from the main body. like this :-

now i searched for a solution before doing anything stupid to my system, i found out that someone got the same problem and he/she solved it by uninstalling the Graphic card's Driver, then run the system on Safe Mode, then use Driver Sweeper program to clean out any registry of that graphic card, finally re-installing the latest drivers again, typical solution i think, and according to that person this solution worked.

so i took my time by doing the same method, and after 20 minutes of that plan it actually worked like a charm.. those nasty polygon stretchings disappeared, after a day of playing the game with no problem, i decided to play something else, when i started to play another game i noticed that the performance of that other game went drastically down, when i mingled for a bit on my Nvidia driver's options i saw that my SLI option was disabled ( Duh i re-installed my drivers that should have happened ) so i activated the SLI and went playing normally, after a day, i went back to play FFXIV again, when i noticed THOSE polygon stretchings came back (-.-), FML right?

and there where it hit me, it was triggered after i activated the SLI ... i went back to disable it,, restarted my system,, went back to the game,, and BINGO! no polygon stretchings, its a pain to activate/deactivate SLI if you want to go from game to game :P.

so in conclusion, the game ( according to what happened to me at least) is not yet compatible with my hardware set of dual 680m gtx.

if anyone having the same problem and you have SLI, Crossfire on ,, try to disable it and run the game once more, please leave a feed back on your findings.

I have a similar problem, except that those polygon stretching happens only for a frame about every hour or two. (Using a Geforce 9800 GT here, I just hope it isn't starting to burn lol)

As for activating/deactivating SLI, you should be able to create a game profile in your NVidia settings. Find the NVidia control panel (should be in the icon tray on the task bar), Manage 3D settings, Program Settings, Add FF14 in the list and edit its settings. I don't know if the SLI setting is in the list though since I can't use it.

This issue is called Artifacting. It is usually caused by a fault on the local pc, either driver issues or hardware problems (memory), or a combination.

I really forgot all about that, thx for reminding me i will use that now, Update: i made sure that my case was the SLI thing the game will tear up if i use the SLI, went back using SLI just now and the polygons went crazy ,, deactivated again and it went normal, think its confirmed now... Square Enix .. your move.

u could always try to run the game on the other gpu, one of your cards might have something

I doubt that, i tried playing crysis with and without SLI i got 15 FPS difference which it tells me that the hardware is ok.

ok, after that 1GB update that was held few days ago.. i can say that this problem is officially gone even while using SLI, i think square got this issue under control.
