Tattoo Missing / 1.0 Character not recognized as 1.0 for CS and NPC Interactions

Time: From Beta phase 3 onward

Character name: Brianna Islen
NPC name: Not Applicable
Monster name: Not Applicable
Class/Level: Lancer 1 - Started in Gridania as this class after character edits for 2.0
Party or solo: Solo
In-game time: Not Applicable
Area and coordinates: Not Applicable

Steps:
1. Log into FFXIV
2. Edit 1.0 Character
3. Log into Game
4. Do not get returning character cut scene or NPC Acknowledgements - Got treated as 2.0 character.
5: Notice Tattoo is missing on Character - The Tattoo Shows up in character selection list - but not in game. I can turn it on with the /lmark command, but if I transition areas, switch armors, and so on, the tattoo vanishes completely.
6: Log out of game, frustrated that my character is not being acknowledged as it should. Report it, get told via email to report bug report here.
7: Submit bug report, sigh, and wait to play 1.0 character until they hopefully fix this problem
