    Thaumaturge/Black Mage question

    What is the sevondary job requirement to become the black mage? It was archer then i seen that it was changed to arcanist (which makes more sense) but now I'm seeing reports of archer still being the requirement. Can anybody confirm which it is? Unfortunately i leveled the arcanist to 15 already.

    It's definitely ARC (Archer). It's confusing because of the abbreviations. I have a 50 BLM, primary required class is Thau 30, secondary required class is Archer 15. But it also pulls abilities from Arcanist after you unlock BLM.

    Strange combination indeed, I thought it was Arcanist too. People have been telling me one or the other though looks like it is indeed archer.

    It's funny how some of these class combinations don't quite make "logical" sense as far as unlocking jobs. I'm just learning that I need Lancer 15 to unlock Monk? lol
