If all else fails (I hate to say this) but you may have to uninstall/re install, but i'd give it a bit first make sure you don't have to (cause its uber annoying) Good luck ok!

edit- and make sure you try running the game with nothing on in the background, i got an error trying to log in whenever Steam was on in the background for instance
