I think I should have chosen Marauder. I went with the Gladiator because of the big, bulky swords it promised. Nothing so far though.You're at a low level, wait till you're higher, plus get some skills from other classes, mainly Marauder/Conjurer since Paladins can take some skills from them. We do have a combo pattern but it's not that boring. If you really want flashy, I do recommend another class.Just daggers & wooden bats.

No. I do agree though, Paladin is incredibly boring to play.
I enjoy paladin quite a bit actually. I picked paladin for the dungeon experience, which has been one of the best I've had in a long time. Mission successful I suppose.
I'd really like jobs to feel like actual jobs and not so much renamed version of current classes. Overall they've been extremely underwhelming compared to the job system in FFXI.
I want us to be able to dodge when the enemy cast aoe skills. It's kinda annoying that we have to turn and then run from it :l
Combat is fine. Leave it be.
I love the combat in this game. It operates at a much faster pace than most MMO's. And I disagree about having QTE's. I hate QTE's. Always have, always will. Brings up bad memories of constantly failing them in shenmue back in the day. Besides you can't implement them due to the fact they are timing based and lag is a issue for some people.
It's still better than my end-game WoW raiding experience, where my maximum dps potential followed the sequence:

I dunno I think it's pretty fun. Once again, a thread from someone who doesn't really know how to max their efficiency. As I GLA I spend a lot of time switching mobs to mark them and keep hate, using MP skill when needed, try to help out the healer with my poor cure potency , shield bashing aoe moves, shield tossing if a mob gets away from me or if I have to move out of an aoe, etc. It's more than just 1-2-3 like so many people seem to claim.
I don't really understand the argument that Gla/pld only has a 1-2-3 play style. people must not be using the any of the defensive abilities. I've had to
group together actions in macros because I have too much to do and stay efficient. I have defensive abilities weaved into my combos so they go off in
during GCD. so I turned 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10 in to 1-2. It saves me from carppel tunnel and gives me time to mark targets and direct the party.
