Accessing Account on PC and PS3

    Hi All,

I know there is a current problem with logging into the game, but mine does not relate to that.

I currently have a copy of the game on PC and PS3. I mainly play on the PC using my PC account. My sister who has registered her account via the PS3 plays on that. Last night i went to play on the PS3 with my account, but my sister's account is greyed in so i am unable to change it.

How do i use my square account on the PS3? please do not tell me i need to buy 2 copies of the game for 1 console!

    Thanks

Create another account on PSN then tie your SE account to it. Yes you will have to buy it again. One code per account.

Did you use your PS3 code yet?

Do you both play on the same PSN account? you prolly need to log into a different User/PSN account to fix this issue... It's really not hard

Edit- what the guy above me said (darn too slow)

So, If i understand this correctly.

The accounts are not cross platform, unless I buy a PS3 version for my account, and a PC version for my sister's account. So for 2 users to play the game on 2 physical devices we have to have to buy the game 4 times!

Yes, it is cross platform it is not cross user, 1 user 1 account 2 platforms you could play it on, 2 user 2 accounts 4 copy's of the disk are needed... this is nothing new.

edit- and to be clear it is against Terms of service ect to allow others to access your account (as in give them your password ect) this is standard in almost EVERY online environment

The fact you have to buy 4 copies of the game to have it installed on 2 devices is not normal. Plenty of other games across all platforms allow you to login via any device that has the product installed. I have an active subscription for the game, so therefore i should be able to access it on any device that has the game installed.

This is clearly just a gimmick to make more money out of the physical copies.

Where on earth did this come from? Not once i have mentioned about accessing other accounts.

and no my phone profile follows me to my tablet however if someone else wants an account on my tablet they have to have their own account to have their own roaming profile (one out of many examples)

If what you want were to happen, then I could buy 1 game give it to 1million friends and they could ALL have their own profiles and play at the same time... tell me. what company would go for such a business model, pretty nice gimmick to bankrupt the company and prevent you from ever playing a game again (since any company that did that would be gone)

The Playstation is a shared household device. It has a single account on it, all I can say is thank god I did make her a Playstation network account. Yes I made the account! Because she has to use my credit card to pay for the SUBSCRIPTION! She is a minor! So therefore I am sole the reasonability of the account!

Which takes me to my next point

I am not buying a game that is single player! If it was, then your point would be valid! You would need to buy it for any device you want to play it on! The fact it’s a subscription based game, it should in theory be accessible from any device which has the game installed, because it would have been paid for! AND MY ACCOUNT DATA IS STORED IN THE "CLOUD" not on a single device!

Yes you can create roaming profiles, let me guess, you can access it from any device that supports the profile type. EG, Windows 7 Domain Profile that roams with you to another computer connected to the same network. Well done! Congrats! Now trying doing that with 20GB of data installed. Enjoy your long login time.

Here are some examples of where the content is free or charged at 1 off, In return you just pay a subscription to access it on any device that it is supported on.
    • Eve Online – Longest subscription game ever! Free to download, Just pay for subscription
    • WoW – Login to any device with the game installed, Just use your account details.
    • Guild Wars 2 – Can access your account data on device that has the game installed!
    • Office 365! Can access your data from any supported device, guess what! Its subscription based!
My dig is not at you, your first comment was helpful, the rest was pointless! I’m just surprised that a subscription based game where all data is stored within the “cloud” is so restricted.
