Maybe I am missing something...

I was under the impression that when you leveled a 2nd job ( or 3rd, 4th, 5th for that matter ) you got an xp buff, based off of the highest level job you had. Well I finally got my Conjy to 30 and am now leveling an Arc to 15 for White Mage. The problem is, so far I am level 6 and I have no xp buff. Is there some sort of prerequisite? Or is it bugged?

Not that I need the buff atm, just a bit concerned for when I level other jobs later.


Any help would be appreciated!

You're sure it isn't there? When you gain EXP, is there a percentage in parenthesis next to the amount you earned? This buff does not appear on your buff/ailment line as far as I'm aware.

When you kill a mob, trash or otherwise, you should see a plus percentage in brackets in the log. The bonus is only for mob kills, not quests, leaves or what have you. The percentage is bigger the farther you are from your highest level.

Not the most useful thing in the world, but it helps, I guess.

Ah hah! I was thinking it was a buff because when you are in a group you see it on your group members buff bars. Its called " The heat of battle" or something a long those lines. But, yes! I do see percentage when I kill things. Thanks!

The heat of battle is a Free Company buff. That's a completely different story
