I agree this is an issue we noticed since Beta, and kept reporting it, but I am afraid it is hard coded in the engine and may take a while to completely get rid of it.

Whoever here is a quick tip on how to actually solve the issue that you have with the area of effect latency. As a tank I use this allot and I never got hit since i figured this out. Somehow it is simply better to run out and right back inside the AOE zone than to just hope you made it out. I know it's odd, but it works. Go on give it a try and you'll see. Mostly I use it against Plumes at Ifrit HM, but works on any mob.
