Players dropping out of dungeons when you don't play their way...

Last night myself and 2 other friends ran a dungeon and used the duty finder for the fourth person. That person proceeded to AFK for long periods of time through the dungeon and suddenly showed up for the boss fights. We looked for a way to kick this person out of the group, but were unable to find anything. Is there a way to remove a person from a Duty Finder group?

Which level is Brayflox? Just making sure I have proper gear as a tank before I hit that. I'm still learning, but I want to make sure I get better as I go.

It is a level 32 dungeon in Limsa Lominsa. I am not sure what the "proper gear" would be, but being a MNK and keeping the highest gear per level I can, I was dealing damage easy enough. My friend tanking was holding mobs well, but this guy was just plain mad cause he couldn't be the boss of the party. You wanna be the shot caller, be a tank! I follow the lead, else peeps be dying a bit quick.

To tank it, you'd better have at least the cuirass armor at level 30 or your healer will have a hard time healing you. It didn't get easy for me to watch my own health bar till I got the full Cavalry set but that's how it's supposed to be. You move on to the next one when the current one turns easy.

I actually left a party on the last boss of Stone Vigil on our 2nd attempt with 30 min left on the clock. I didn't see the ice and died and someone was a jerk about it. I admit I was a noob in there but instead of making sure I knew what was going on he said some crappy stuff so I bailed.

After lockout I queued up again and beat the entire thing with ease.

You have people stay in your dungeons long enough to at least be douchebags? Most runs duty finder puts me in have people that just go "oh, no BLM? /leave"

As a BLM I can admit, we are pretty BA to have in a group... however most tanks wont LET me sleep the mobs to even be useful. /shrug
Meaning, you obviously DON'T NEED control to get through the dungeon.

I think it was that one that I had a tank bail (for whatever reason... maybe a disconnect?) and never got another tank replacement, so me and an ARC and CNJ 3 manned the place. lots of kiting and sleeping. Also had an entire run without a healer for similar reasons. So let that be a less for you. You can go without a primary role and still make it through if the group is pretty smart.

May not have been on purpose. I've been having issues with random client crashes, that which I let every PT know before we begin, and sometime I just can't get back in or when I do, too much time has passed I'm ejected from the instance. It really sucks and I hate that ths happens, but lets hope it'll be fixed soon!

They should add a disconnect/ragequit % to players' search info. Capcom did that with their fighting games this gen. It has definitely helped the FGC weed out the sore loser opponents and "laggy" players when playing online.

This would help deter people from ragequitting from Duty Finder or respective server-based dungeons. If you ragequit a lot, you should only be paired with other ragequitters.

After all, I don't think anyone likes playing with such Debbie Downers.

To be fair, once BLM gets the AoE Sleep trait, it makes things pretty cakey. :P

I've left an instance twice. Once because the healer refused to heal me (Kind of makes it hard to tank.), and once on Ifrit, because I explained the nail mechanic to the party before combat, then when it appeared I marked it "1" and repeatedly told the party to attack it, only to have everyone just keep on going at ifrit... twice... in a row.
I will leave an instance ONLY if a party is uncooperative in such a way that completing the instance is not possible... or possibly if they are just extremely rude and offensive.

I've had the same experience on an Ifrit run. I was playing on a JP server because of 1017 and got grouped up with some random JPs. The tank couldn't keep hate off of the Lancer (I was playing an Archer) and nobody swapped to the nail after I repeatedly spammed <t> {Full Attack!} like 10 times. I gave it two tries and quit.

Luckily most of the instances I've been running have been with my FC so things have gone pretty smoothly. I imagine I'll be dealing with the random group blues once I start leveling other classes though.
