you guys are special.
you guys are special.
Final Fantasy was my childhood. Love the game series since then.
Storylines are amazing and as well as combat system. Next is the music, most of their songs rings in my head brings that nostalgia feeling when I play here. I love and support FF forever !![]()
- A good understanding game for me.
- Crafting is fun for once in my MMO life.
- Fun community.
- Fun dungeons.
- Able to play PS3. Bought PS3 just for this and finally an MMO I can play with barely FPS drops. [Shit Laptop I have lol.]
- Other stuff...
That's about it. I love FF and stuff but this game is just like any other MMO out there.
Something about it pulls me because it is your average Joe of a MMO with Final Fantasy slapped on it.
Inb4 White Knight Drone Forces but it's true...but I love this game like crazy so they did something right.
I'm usually bored with MMO's in a snap.
Because I was always a Final Fantasy fan and played so many years FF11. After getting tired and bored of it, I hoped for the same quality in a successor.
1.0 disappointed me but now everything is fine. I like it and also my wife is playing with me![]()

If Yoshi-P can't save us, Jesus Raptor will.
Like other players have mentioned, I love story-driven content, especially in the FF series. I think it's pretty safe to say that out of all the RPGS that I have played, FF series have remained my top favorites. The music is lovely. I almost never get tired of hearing the music when I'm playing. I can't say the same about the other MMORPGS when I'm playing. I end up just taking my hearing aid off or muting the game if I'm playing. Sometimes I like hearing the game itself if I'm playing. The graphics are lovely. (contd)
(contd from last post) Sometimes I just stop, and just move my camera around to check out the sights. It's beautiful when you just stop, and take a look around, there's so much detail in the scenery. You can tell the developers really took the time to make sure that everything looks beautiful from all angles. I love it when they do that, and don't do it the half-arsed way. I also enjoy playing online with other people. I thrive on social interaction when I'm leveling. It makes things less boring for me.
They're pretty simple reasons, but I think they're enough to get me playing, and keep me playing
This is one of the biggest things I enjoyed about FFXI and with this game as well. I find my self just staring at the clouds sometimes and lose track of where i was heading. I think that one of the best things about this game is that there is always something to do and its not just a matter of having to log in, do some list of dailies or raid, and then log out. At 50 I will work on leveling other jobs and throw in some crafting, harvesting, cooking etc. I will spend time exploring and taking awesome screenshots, while chatting with in game friends. I like that in this game, I dont feel like its a chore or a job to play and since Beta, the only thing about this game that raises my blood pressure is the server issues lol.

Why do YOU play FFXIV?
I really enjoy the crafting and gathering system. It helps to be able to level all the crafting classes. I am something of a clotheshorse, so being able to make and wear all the armor is appealing. Slaying monsters and running dungeons is just icing when I'm not crafting or exploring for more nodes.
What makes it special?
Honestly, I like the community a lot back in 1.0. Players were fairly nice and helpful because of the nature of the game. Most of them have returned, so I hope to meet up with them.
What will you do when you hit level 50?
I am probably going to gather relic gear. I'm really looking forward to the bard outfit. There's just something about feathered caps... I'm also just as likely to go to beginner areas and help new players or get involved in the pvp though.

for me it's the enormous wealth of story to see and experience. Eorzea is an insanely fleshed out world with unique personalities bursting from the seams. Even most side quests have engaging and endearing dialogue and relateable, likeable characters.

The first MMO I played was Final Fantasy XI. I was totally hooked and attached to it, though I didn't take the game to a hardcore level I was very fond and attached to Vanadiel and its challenges. I played more MMOs after FFXI and at the moment I am looking forward to FFXIV bringing back the good old times of FFXI. The new version ARR definitely proved to be an awesome revamp of the original 1.0 so I am committed to this game at a semi-casual level.
