I don't mind dying but who the FUK gonna pay for my repair bill?!!!
I don't mind dying but who the FUK gonna pay for my repair bill?!!!
I find this pretty demeaning to the tank, "Kill yourself so we can do things a bit faster".
Plus, as much as trash is pretty boring and without reward, I still love fighting the iron knights/dullahan/giant knights etc because theyre well designed and awesome.
But as much as I hate the concept of the speed run, I really wish there was an incentive to kill the trash at 50. No money, no loot, no exp, just a repetitive road block with no challenge.
Some gil would really be appreciated ;_; i mean, right now I'm fine but when it comes to levelling another class and aqquiring gear... as well as repairs... Money is going to be absurdedly tight.
Dear SE,
Some groups have found a way to skip all trash mobs in Amdapor's Keep.
The tank runs to the he boss chamber while holding hate from all mobs on the way. The team follows him into the chamber and lets the tank die on a safe distance from them. The mobs run back to their original position and the healer resurrects the tank.
This is possible for every single boss and reduces Amdapor Keep's difficulty and completion time to 20-30 minutes.
Could this be fixed please?
Thanks!
FurioI guess it really depends. In OTHER GAMES, either you are locked in a room when the mobs spawn, or the mobs re-aggro instead of wandering back to their starting point invulnerable. Since MPK doesn't matter in an instance, it seems to me that it's likely not working as intended.Of course this is an exploit.
Easy way to pick an exploit is to just ask yourself, is it the way the devs intended it to work? running through mobs and then dying? I wouldn't think was the right way. Why did the devs put the mobs there if they intended you to just run to the end?
What probably should happen is that monsters in the dungeon instances (not overworld) should constantly be on a seek-and-destroy mode, which includes moving around to change the line-of-sight. Only returning to their home position if there are no targets.
Ah yes, we're ruining the game by not wanting to spend 60 minutes fighting trash mobs with no reward just to get a whole 100 tomestones. How does someone playing the game differently from you hurt the game, let alone someone who's 23 levels ahead of you?In actual fact it is your type that are ruining it for the rest of us. May I point your attention to another thread on the issue, where people actually leave because the tank is new!?!?! he gets laughed at and everything because he doesn't know the "speed run", fair? no!!

There is even a bigger issue than this: first boss Cutter's Cry, Princess.
People insisting on this stupid tactic to have healer running around with 10-20 adds while everyone is focusing on the main boss.
I don't think this should be possible. Is ok that you can outrun mobs in outside world and use sprint etc. Is not ok for a healer to be able to kite a whole group of 10+ adds while the rest of the party hacks on boss.
When you force your mindset on others, in particular. At first if I told people I prefer not to speedrun, they simply leave. So if the remaining 2-3 people stay, they have to endure an additional wait time to their instance as they have to wait for a dps or healer to pop in having ticked the "join a group in progress".
Or, if they didnt leave, they would just pull mobs untill it was unsurvivable, or afk.
Now I deal with everyone wanting speedruns because with AK being so clogged I'm not about to jump back in a 1-3 hour queue for an instance. But am I getting to play the game how I prefer and how it is INTENDED to play? Nope, selfish peer pressure wins out since we can't boot afk'ers, trolls and queue times are absurd.
Not everyone must follow the ONE single tactic to a boss kill. There is even a bigger issue than this: first boss Cutter's Cry, Princess.

I wanna smack you in the face so bad.
LOL @ today fix
what do you say now exploiter ? defending yourself ? you say skipping trash is not exploit? HAHA jokes on you
congratulations, you won...
I can't wait to see you people accusing speed runners crying when you have to kill trash again for the 200th time to get that one darklight upgrade...
Don't get me wrong I don't agree with people running amdapor keep 5-6 times per hour either but this could have been solved differently. Like giving people more incentive to kill trash by making them drop 1 token per mob or something along those lines. But no, just speed up the mobs, totally disregarding the fact that any decently equipped tank can still speed through it, and seeing as repair cost has been reduced, any tank who's not well equipped can just make shorter runs and die a few times more at the same repair cost.
please stop crying![]()
