    Graphic Lag

I ran the game for the first time tonight and was saddened to find out that my graphics card is not up to snuff. I was wonder if someone could look at my specs and see if there is anything else that I might want to update besides the graphics card.

It looks like you might have to upgrade the CPU, but I'm not sure. You've only got one 1.8Ghz core, and my laptop runs the game (very hot and at medium settings) with two 1.8Ghz cores, although not all cores are created equal.

Is this your PC by any chance? If so you may have trouble fitting upgrades in the case.

Either way, you'll definitely want to upgrade the GPU. It looks like you've got a built-in GPU; you'll need one that comes on its own card, but I'm not sure what to recommend without knowing how big your case is. It would be bad to order a card only to find out it won't physically fit into the case.

Yep, that's the one, and thanks for all the help. I'm almost thinking about getting a new computer altogether. This one is a couple years old now.

FFXIV's minimum system requirements are higher than the system you used. I would suggest not buying a high end GPU if you can manage to squeeze it in that case RED linked. The AMD 2850e is low power and wouldn't be able to use the extra potential enthusiast cards have. Not to mention potential power supply limitations from your PC.

Yes, I have two video cards, and with or without my SLI enabled, I still get graphic lag.

I'm not sure what's causing this, since right now I have it set so that My primary video card does graphics, and my secondary is dedicated to physx. This makes it better than running SLI (for some unknown reason that's beyond me). You'd think, with my core i7 extreme edition, 12 GB of DDR3 memory @ 1333 mHz, that this game would run without any problems. It's choppy for some reason even on minimum settings. I changed it to medium settings because I'm not willing to sacrifice that much graphic quality (if I wanted bad graphics, I'd play WoW) when it's not that much better than the medium settings.

Suetan having your second card set for PhysX does absolutely nothing for FF XIV.

With your setup, you should run the cards in SLI, and and be able to run with shadows and textures maxed, Drawing Quality at 8, and antialiasing at 8 as well.

Even though Nvidia have a profile for XIV, you will get a better result if you do the old profile "trick" and update the XIV profile with the Crysis settings.

I changed my nVidia settings, and the Crysis settings made it so that I'm finally able to run the game at max settings with no lag. Thanks, Loth.

Also, I'm running at 16x SLI Antialiasing, no lag.
