Put it in a limited time frame again if it makes you feel better...

What would be the point of re-releasing it in a limited time frame? 6 months afterward, new players will ask and wonder how they can get the mount and begin making threads all over again. If it's going to be re-released, just make it permanent.

I understand the feelings on both sides of the argument and can honestly say, I don't care if they re-release it. I got my Goobbue, I have my legacy choco, I have my tattoo. None of these things make me feel special. If SE wants to give everyone a chance at getting these cosmetic items, that's their call.

For those complaining they had 1.0 and never got a chance to get the Goobbue mount, are you kidding me? The Goobbue was available for MONTHS. If you quit the game when it went p2p and now all of a sudden are angered SE won't allow you to have something that was implemented shortly after you quit, I have no sympathy for you. At all.

For those complaining this item should be "Regacy-Onry", you are wrong. I hear your argument that SE made a promise to us by saying certain things would be exclusive...but how is the Goobbue tied to Legacy? I could have come into the game the month this cosmetic choco was about to be locked away, subbed, gotten it, and quit the game w/o becoming a legacy member. This item was not promised to us. What was promised to us was a discount, a choco, and a mark separating us from the new players and 1.0 players who jumped ship.

A majestic creature, the Goobbue is very sensitive to shifts in the planet's aether stream. While often used as a source of transport by those enjoying the Sixth Astral Age, the descent of Dalamud and the onset of the Calamity has caused an aetertic instability and the Goobbues no longer respond to taming Magicks as they once did. While this is regrettable, as no new Goobbues can be tamed for further uses, those that were turned before the aetheric imbalance was put into place remain yet unaffected.
