Goobbue Mount

So going by the logic of why SE should release the Goobbue mount for everyone again, I want a shot at the Courel mount. And the Chocobo Behemoth barding.

Nothing, already debated with an answer as stupid as the initial post.

I don't care if its a crappy goobbue that runs slow, is brown and crusty, with a blanket that is little more than a flea-ridden burlap rag... just make it happen ;-;

It isn't currently "for 1.0 players", it's for 1.0 characters those 1.0 players managed to get the Goobbue mount on while it was available. Getting the mount on one character didn't even automatically give it to any alts you may have had at the time back in 1.0. If a 1.0 player creates a new character on any server, that character won't have the goobbue mount.

There was an entire story event leading up to 2.0 back in 1.0 that you can never, ever play now, and you feel like you're missing out from a Goobbue mount?

I'm a legacy player who levels at a casual pace. I was at 26 when the servers went down, and thus, I don't have a gobbue.

I'd LIKE a chance to get it down the line, but I don't think any less of those who unlocked it and want it to stay exclusive to that one event.

To draw a RL example; Should I be "hatin" on my father-in-law because he went to Woodstock? I'd love to have been there, but I just wasn't around at the time. The 1.xx-players' Gobbue (and my in-laws' memories) is a small way for them to reconnect with the good times they had before I was even a factor. Just accept that in a living, breathing, world (real or digital) things change. Some things you were there for, and some things you missed out on.

2.0 is a lil over a week old and anyone can have access to at least 3 different mounts. just imagine how many different ones - limited or otherwise - we'll see over the next half-a-decade some of us may end up playing! Is a single missed Gobbue-mount REALLY that important?

I don't really care either way, as I like mounts that I can already get better than this one, but I don't get why anyone strongly needs for this to remain an exclusive thing. Does it really make you feel that special? Will it truly harm you if new players are able to get it? If so, you've got more to worry about than whether or not Gobbue mounts are ever attainable again :P

with all the mounts SE is dishing out, do you REALLY feel left out because you don't have a Goobbue? Sorry you didn't get to play 1.0, but this was a treat for any 1.0 players who played and earned it while it was availible. Sorry you missed out, but...well, you missed out.
