i don't think they should release any more gobbue mounts. however, it would be nice to allow them to be sold at the AH. this way those 1.0 players that don't care for it so much can have the chance to sell and allow some newer players a chance to ride the great gobbue!

SE should consider making the Goobbue an obtainable mount again. ARR new players will appreciate this limited mount that is currently for 1.0 players. I feel like I'm missing out

As someone who only picked it up during the middle of Phase 3 for ARR (thus do not have the mount) I would prefer to not have them given out. I would prefer it remain a reward for those who earned it.

Well, according to the story even arr characters were around during xiv, so even less reason to not at least slowly release xiv items to everyone.

Either this, my previous post, or make it so when server transfers start, they make some servers legacy-less (legacy can't transfer there, but can make characters without tattoo) so people don't have to have their noses rubbed in it when they play.

I don't have one, but I think these mounts should stay specifically for 1.0 or Legacy 1.0 people since it's one of the very few things that distinguish them from new players - aside from the back tattoo to indicate you're a survivor.

It would be nice, however, if they did allow ARR people to obtain it though. Hard to say at this point though since the game is new and needs errors fixed.

For the few people asking why someone would care about this mount when the game has "so many" other mounts to choose from. When was the last time you played another mmo? This game is severely lacking in mount options compared to pretty much any mmo that includes mounts that has been released in the last decade. There are only 7 mounts currently. Two that everyone gets from story mode. Two that you get when you spend real world money. Two that are unavailable to anyone who didn't play 1.0 at the right times. And one that is job specific. That is extremely lacking by modern mmo standards.

I personally think exclusive items should stick to items that are variants of regularly available items, rather than completely unique items with nothing even remotely similar to them. A rare chocobo color? That's perfect. But a unique mount of a very popular and prominent creature without anything remotely similar available? I think mmos generally stay away from that for good reason.
