Goobbue Mount

Does anyone really want to ride that thing anyways? It's so obnoxious. I have to zoom out to max just to see around it. I've got one on a 1.0 character I don't play anymore, but I don't want them back strictly so I don't have to look at them taking up space on my screen.

SE should consider making the Goobbue an obtainable mount again. ARR new players will appreciate this limited mount that is currently for 1.0 players. I feel like I'm missing out

you did miss out that's why you feel that way. you wasn't there to get one, if you was if your fault. anyways they'll defo do another gobbue mount or whatever there called they'll wont look the same

God, what is wrong with you people? Why does everyone think everyone should be able to get the same stuff? I didn't get the mount, and I'm totally fine with it! I think it's great that some people can get stuff that other can't. It makes the world feel unique, and every player wont be a cookie cutter of every other player. There are plenty of games out there for people who want to cookie cut. This isn't, or at least should not be, it.

Hell, make it a veteran reward for subscribing a certain amount of days. Take it one issue at a time instead of assuming the worst. You all have your low monthly fees, chocobo, and tattoo. Since ffxiv is actually a seperate game from arr, I actually think there should be a way for arr people to get the items (except chocobo perhaps, but I don't even see why xiv people get those). Perhaps do it somewhat like the backstory stuff in guild wars was done, but modified a good bit. Have to pay to enable it, but have it where there's a quest chain that you must play through in order to get the items (gw had single quests in books, ff could have it as an actual chain of quests that retell xiv's story, and have it only doable with main story completed), legacy people could also do the quest and it would have alternate items for them and people who prefer the alternate over the xiv stuff (but alternate wouldn't be unique)

I like to collect stuff in games, so I don't like that people can keep items from a different game in this one. If I could have played xiv I would have. It's one reason I almost didn't give this game a chance.

omg arr is ffxiv 2.0! It was a gift because the game was messed up and they needed to make arr (witch its the same game >.< its ffxiv 2.0) Do you real belive arr isn't ffxiv? I think they should have other gobbues for all players but change the look alittle.

Really? So we haven't all seen threads for Legacy chocobos, Early access, discounted subs, tattoos, white ravens in the beta forums? We know people who didn't play 1.0 or don't have legacy won't ever be satisfied, because we've seen the constant whining for ourselves.

If you don't participate in "x" event, you don't get "y" item. How hard is that? What would be the point or motivation to participate if I knew I could sit back, pay a sub, and know I'll be able to collect all the content without actually playing? And people who say "I pay for the game, I should get it". NO, you're paying for a persistent world experience, and limited items ARE PART of a persistent world. It's the attitude that "I pay for the content, I should get it" that leads to the cash-shop games killing the MMO industry. When I can BUY what I want in game rather than playing for it, I move on.

OP's post is the first one on this forum to make me rage. Gobbue's are for legacy players only. Those of us who persisted and paid to support and play this game during 1.0. It would be a huge insult to all of us who obtained the Gobbue mount if SE ever decided to make it available again.

No, you can't have a gobbue. You weren't there during 1.0, you didn't pay for a sub, you didn't complete the questline BEFORE NOW, and now the Gobbue isn't available anymore. And to the gentleman who said "nothing is being physically taken away", well of course not. These are pixels, not tangible objects, but it would be taking away a special honor that was bestowed upon those who funded this game.

I don't know how many people remember this, but Yoshi said they had to start charging during 1.0 in order to pay the development team to keep the game running while simultaneously working on ARR. We paid for what you are playing now. We got a gobbue for it. No, you cannot have it, ever.
