A bit late to the party, but...

I don't see what the big fuss is about. I don't believe that ARR players should get the mount as they didn't play when it was available, didn't support the company and didn't earn the mount. It's gone now, might as well let legacy players enjoy their unique mount instead of ruining the representation of it being a bit of a 'thank you for supporting us for so long' sort of deal. If you're miffed about not getting it, maybe next time you should play the game from the getgo. If you didn't have a chance to for some reason or another, well that sucks but better luck next time!

For the record, I didn't play in 1.0 and I'm not upset about missing out on the mount and I don't feel envious when I see someone with it. They stuck around for that long, they deserve it. I don't want to take away the uniqueness of the mount just so I get to feel special for getting something I didn't earn and don't deserve, too.

I'm against releasing them again not because I think they should be special, but because they are horrifically awful looking and I don't want to see any more of them.

Considering it was a whole big deal toward the end of 1.0, and how SE released like 5+ warnings about getting your Goobbue mount before it's too late and how much it was stressed and reiterated over and over that this was a one time ever opportunity, I think it should stay limited. If they changed it now a lot of 1.0 players would feel like SE lied to them.

This is standard limited item fare, though, and complaining about this is no different than complaining about not being able to get a Coeurl mount a month from now. Just think of it like any other limited item, like for instance the preorder items, but instead of being exclusive to people who got preorders, it's exclusive to people who played 1.0. It's expected that not everyone will get these things, that's just the nature of limited time items.

SE should consider making the Goobbue an obtainable mount again. ARR new players will appreciate this limited mount that is currently for 1.0 players. I feel like I'm missing out

So I imagine anyone who thinks the Goobue mount should be obtainable by everyone also thinks every mount should be obtainable, correct? I should be able to get he coerl mount too then right? Even if I didn't buy CE? If we're being 'fair' about it.

You're not missing much honestly. I have this mount, and the thing takes up the entire screen lol.

So, people should just get EVERYTHING that's been released? If that is the case, let's give back that 90% of gil that was taken away from legacy players. Oh wait, that would be unfair too.

Trust me, there are WORSE things to be missing out on other than a mount. Besides, that unicorn is way cooler. =P I think I'm the only person that actually LIKES the unicorn LOL..

New players are awesome, they are bringing a lot of life (too much for the servers:P) and fun to the community. But ones who whine about this stuff are starting to get very annoying. EVEYONE had the oppertunity to play 1.0 and get this stuff. You missed your chance. Just like Legacy. Just like every other now unobtainable in ARR. I personally never finished a lot of the one time events and things with the Legacy character I transferred, does that mean I should be entitled for all those items I'm missing? NO.

In the end I only got the items from the Bombard Festival (or whatever it was called :P) and the Goobbue. Do I wish I had the Winter/Summer/Special Boss items? Sure. But since I got rid of the character that took part in those events I know that it's my own fault that I don't.

the mount is ugly, unlike the chocobos and cat mount. Most people will use it for a few days and switch back to the better mounts wondering why they cried so much for it if SE released the thing anyways. Why are you jealous about a in-game item that is just data in server code?
