btw...

didn't upgrade my account to CE, thus... no kitty mounts and other exclusive minion.
did buy a physical CE, but it was for PC since I don't have PS3, and thus... no kitty mounts either.

and back in 1.0:
didn't have time to manage a White Raven - Hard win, missing out that powerful accessory.
didn't manage to clear all that craft/gather story quest, left wondering how they turned out.
and some other things I missed.

so I guess what I'm trying to say is... it's just a gobbue. Can still adore it even if it's not as mount anymore. lol
This other whole new content gonna have many... many more rewards.

Very incorrect.. people do sell their accounts.. I know my RL friends who sold their FFXI accounts with relics,all 75's (in 75 days), and a bunch of other stuff for 500-1300$ REAL LIFE money. So tell us again, how these items are worth nothing.

Because your friend never owned these items. They never existed. He sold his login information to an SE account that had access to them. He can only ever access them with SE's permission. SE own these digital items. They could remove them from the account with no warning and the owner of the account has no legal recourse as they do not own them. At some point, the servers will close on XI forever. Will the person who bought these items be able to take them with him? He owns them after all.

In the supermarket I usually go shopping, last week they gave away a bottle of wine if you bought one of champagne. I didn't buy it and I ran out of the wine bottle. I didn't care.
This week I bought a bottle of champagne, but the supermarket doesn't give away anything for it, but no problem, since I'm sooooooooo special, they're going to give me wine too, cause otherwise I will cry and cry until they give it to me.

A bit late to the party, but...

I don't see what the big fuss is about. I don't believe that ARR players should get the mount as they didn't play when it was available, didn't support the company and didn't earn the mount. It's gone now, might as well let legacy players enjoy their unique mount instead of ruining the representation of it being a bit of a 'thank you for supporting us for so long' sort of deal. If you're miffed about not getting it, maybe next time you should play the game from the getgo. If you didn't have a chance to for some reason or another, well that sucks but better luck next time!

For the record, I didn't play in 1.0 and I'm not upset about missing out on the mount and I don't feel envious when I see someone with it. They stuck around for that long, they deserve it. I don't want to take away the uniqueness of the mount just so I get to feel special for getting something I didn't earn and don't deserve, too.

I've already talked about them here. I've said that being notified when the mount is removed beforehand as warning is not the same thing as a promise of exclusivity or a promise they won't reuse the skin. If they added a quest in tomorrow with this mount they won't have gone back on anything they have said from the quotes provided. It was going to be removed for 2.0, they then notified people they would take it out during 1.23a instead. Neither statement is really a promise to never have bring it back. If anything you have shown that they decided to lessen the amount of time they were going to give people initially, showing they have no problems changing their minds on the issue.

I'm against releasing them again not because I think they should be special, but because they are horrifically awful looking and I don't want to see any more of them.
