Sounds downright infrequent compared to my lag issues. I get it every three to five minutes it seems like. Somehow managed to only get the 90000 error once since Monday, but it doesn't make any difference since it's impossible to play the game effectively with this much lag. It is not ISP throttle either, as I checked on that. I've been buying Square's (and Enix's) stuff since the 80's, but this might be the last time I buy in good faith at launch.

Even if the ISP doesn't directly throttle or filter traffic, there are other nodes between the ISP and SE that can cause issues as well.
You should post which ISP you're using.
I checked with a few friends and none of them reported the issues you are experiencing. Must be something with your ISP as Nekodar says.

If that's the case, why would I have had no issues up until this past Monday? My ISP is through OCN / NTT in Japan, and it's a fiber optic connection that I've had no issues with where any other game is concerned. I'm on PS3 as well, so my options for diagnostic measures are a little limited. I've contacted OCN and they assured me they weren't throttling anything I was running. Also, this issue is all over these forums, so we're hardly alone on this.

I am using Time warner, if it were an ISP issue, the guy who lives next door to me, would be having the same issue, yet he isn't. figured that would have been enough to eliminate that as a ruling factor.

Here's a topic about it under Technical Support. More than likely, you're experiencing the same issue, which means it's not your ISP.
So please, stop blaming everyone's ISP.

You are such a tool sir , you go in every thread with that issue asking people for their ISP like it will make a difference and you tell them it;s their ISP when it's not. Stop being a jerk i am tire of seeing your obnoxious post everywhere when we try to find solution and you just bring " What's your ISP " when we obviously all did our little test or phone call to know if it was our ISP in first hand. Just get out of the forums right now we don't need you. That's the first time i am being really rude to someone on the forum but you are a tool and you deserve it.

@ Paintballrulz: I agree, it's frustrating. I have no idea why this guy wants to adamantly insist that it's your ISP when there are so many things that could possibly go wrong, most of them being under the realm of SE's responsibility. I'm a big fan of SE, but I'll be the first to tell you that they have a long history of awful customer service and a habit of taking a long time to get around to acknowledging/fixing technical issues.
@ OP: Please update your first post with a link to this thread: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...serious-issues
It's posted under technical support, so I'm hoping that more people posting in that thread will make SE more likely to notice it.
Hopefully the issue will be resolved soon and we can all get back to playing.
