    A quick thought to some of the suggestions I've seen:

    We need more tank classes that have some kind of unique flavor to them. All of the suggestions I made provide for that. Dodge tanks/life drain tanks/tank that boosts party members with attacks would be something new and fun to add to the game. I'm also fine with adding more dps classes but frankly we have a lot of dps classes and so few tank and healing classes.

    Musketeer or whatever (class that uses guns) is most likely the next class to be added, because it would round out Limsa best with 3 classes total, and because we already have a lot of stuff pointing to it. Also because there is only one class that currently relies on Dexterity.

    I agree that we need more tanks / healers though, and in general some more support based classes would be great.

    I'm pretty sure Yoshi said that they aren't happy with the number of casters and want so that would probably be the next class/job they add in.

    4 casters right now and 4 melee. I think what u may have read was something outdated. infact there is more range dps than there is melee atm. The nextt class that should be added logically is Thief or ninja because there is a serious lack of that archetype atm and i cant think of a single decently know mmo without a thief type..

    something i've been thinking about is how awesome it would be if they decided to branch THF off of GLD. THF uses daggers and swords traditionally, and GLD already has that covered. furthermore, in some games they also have the capacity to use certain shields. making the THF either an evade tank, or having its soul crystal retool GLD abilities to be more damage oriented would be neat.

    We then asked Yoshida whether other classes will have access to multiple jobs, much as Arcanists can dabble in Summoner skills. He said that we'll probably see more of that in the future. There will likely be existing classes made able to branch off into other jobs, and he does consider it highly important to have variety and lots of flexibility in the game's class system. Also under consideration is the possibility of combining two jobs to form a third, such as White and Black Mages combining to form a Red Mage.

    He also laughed and mentioned that there's a "high possibility" of new jobs debuting prior to future expansions.

    If I had to guess who is most likely coming up in terms of jobs being added it be this.

    Musketeer (Limsa currently only has 2 classes and we need a straight DPS ranged class since Bard is support)

    Samurai (because we only have 2 tank classes and samurai is a plausible option to be the next tank)

    Dark Knight (we currently only have 2 melee dps classes and honestly how can we have paladin without dark knight? Also the Absorb spells were in 1.0 and as people know DRK was all bout dat absorb in XI so they could potentially bring them back)

    I'd love to see the concept of Fencer > Red Mage implemented that people suggested before. If they dropped rapiers and other dueling weapons in the game as their main and actually gave them some use I'd be absolutely in love. In fact, in the system of FFXIV an en-spell / temper RDM concept could actually work without being garbage. You know what though? I'm entirely okay if we just ended up being enfeeblers again so long as we could actually enfeeble at end game and not just be reduced to Refresh Whores. Which we aren't even needed for. In XI now, the only reason to lvl RDM is to sub it to SCH. Just hope we get better treatment here.

    P.S: Or, set it up so we're a backrow caster that can dual wield shields ala FF3. Only because I find that hilarious.
