Still 1017 during OFF TIME hours....

I've noticed that, at least on midgardsormr, that non-peak is between 8am and 11am. Only because I get home from work around 8am and can login with no issues, no queue or 1017, but if I log out and try to log back in after 11am i either get a queue or 1017.

Simple fix. Bring in an inactive period boot. No need to afk all night. You can't bazaar like in XI. So there's no need. Better still, region lock servers. Been unable to play for 2 days now. Fix will come on Wednesday. They will only break the game more, and follow it up with another emergency maintenance. Oh well.

I don't believe that for a second unless:

1. You are on Japan servers
2. You are an online afk-er

I play on Japan servers (I live in Oki) and trust me when I say the grass isn't any greener. I get the 1017 error any time I try to log on it and when I go to create a new character to go on another server, they're usually all greyed out. And after clikcing refresh a dozen times and finally getting one server I am able to select to pop, I end up getting 1017'd regardless. I actually have better luck logging on my EU server than JP/NA.

I smell a huge amount of people afk. I for one would like to thank all the people who actually log out, and as for it being alot of people actually playing, I highly doubt it with the lobby server and realm list actually working perfectly fine today :/

I tried logging in yesterday from 8am -10pm AEST and got the 1017 error all day. Trying agiqan tonight and so far 1017 again since 7pm AEST - it's now 8:30pm. It's Off peak in NA - GO TO SLEEP AND LOG OFF!

Yeah, this is starting to get silly. Its my day off and been tring to get on since 11am, just getting 1017. I can understand it being busy in the evening, but not a weekday morning. I've not played the game since last week.

It is not peak hours here, and after many attempts STILL getting the 1017. If this continues after wednesday, I will never play this or any square enix game again and I hope many others boycott. Everquest Next looks promising however.

every body playing right now is AFK i think if a person was logged in for 48 hours strate thay should reset there stats when the servers are fixed make them start over at lvl 1

5:45am CST, was place in a que of 16 then 1017. this really pisses me off and to I have to go to work shortly and I can not play even for an hour.

Honestly SE are pretty bad for MMO,
Underestimate the no. Of Orr order and 1.0 return
They never do a stress test on server
They take ages to finally understand the congestion problem
Worst, they take a whole weeks to finally come up with a solution and responds
SE really need to learn on this
