I'm a Unitarian Universalist, so not really a Christian. But really, so long as it doesn't hurt anyone else, who the hell cares if someone's looking for an LS with like-minded beliefs?
And if someone is hurting others, you focus your attention on the individual inflicting that harm, not the group which they represent. That goes for everyone of every belief system. Don't force your beliefs on other people, don't let your beliefs hurt other people, and don't make like your beliefs are superior to others' beliefs.
Of course, this is the internet, so none of this advice will ever be heeded, but please. Just for the sake of civility and good netiquette, let's at least try.
Seriously though, just reading through this thread alone, some of the posters here are being so very judgmental and generalizing towards Christianity, religion in general, and even LGBT individuals, none of which is cool.
Also, just to clarify, Catholicism is a denomination of Christianity. If you consider yourself Christian without being Catholic, you are, in fact, one of the other denominations, which include Methodism, Protestantism, Lutheranism, Eastern Orthodox, Adventist, Evangelical, Penecostal, Calvinist, Anglican, Assyrian, etc. Just throwing that nugget of wisdom out there. You can be Christian without being Catholic, but to say that Catholicism is different from Christianity is incorrect.
