Greetings,
I was hoping somone here could help me. Maybe someone has gone through this aswell. This will probably be a long post so I thank anyone in advance for reading through this.
After I install the game from the disc, it asks me to link my PSN account, (so to confirm my purchase information) I click next. Then I get this error:
"The server is not responding.
For assistance with this issue, please visit the SQUARE ENIX Support Center.

When I persist and manage to get past this point (which I have read solved the PS3 problem for some people) then all seems fine, I see the launcher and then it starts to update client. It is a 2.5GB update, I let this download and then the system shuts down.
Now here is the problem that I can't seem to get past.
When I reload the client, arrive back at the launcher, it begins updating a second time. "Downloading ffxiv - 2013.08.20.0000.0001" - 750.64 MB
Towards the end of this I keep gettings this strange error:
A problem has occured while updating.
Please restart FINAL Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn (Beta Version).
[11006][20641][20643]
This is so confusing because i'm installing of the disc directly, not from a beta client, I don't understand why it's updating in such a way.
---->I reformatted my whole PS3
----> erased all data then reinstalled from disc,
----> went through linked account error, then get to launcher on second try,
----> downloaded 2.5GB client update, then PS3 system turns off
----> re-open client, launcher downloads 750.64MB client update then gives me that last error. - (tried this whole process 4 times)
Now if I keep restarting my PS3 and the client when i'm at the last step, it just keeps re-downloading the 750MB file -2013.08.20.0000.001. then shows it respective error.
I've tried getting technical support with Square Enix just to get an automated email basically saying that my request will not be addressed and to create yet another ticket.
So I thought I would try here.
If anyone here has gone through this, or knows of a fix, I would greatly appreciate the assistance.
Thanks again,
Jani Wolf
