Buggy NPC AI: Arcanist's main quest "Pincer Maneuver"

After several failed attempts trying to complete this quest have left me to wonder why this quest is offered at level 20 when I cannot even complete it by then and now I'm level 22 and still having problems.

Buggy NPC AI #1: Thubyrgeim heals me but not herself.
Buggy NPC AI #2: Thubyrgeim's carbie is not taking aggro away from her, but my carbie can.
Buggy NPC AI #3: Archers will rush me and bombard me with arrows even though I am not within aggro range.

I believe that if these bugs are fixed, the quest will flow smoothly because the quest fail most of the time due to the Bug #1, she's just not healing herself or casting protect.

I, too, am wondering because my Thubyrgeim doesn't even use a Carbie! Everyone gets slaughtered within 2 minutes.

I probably failed this quest 10 times before I finally got it. What I did was run to the middle of the bridge when the battle started. That way the archers didn't pelt me and I could deal with them easily enough. I took them out asap, then found the NPC healer at the other end of the bridge taking LOTS of damage. Switch between healing him and DoTing the mobs until everything is dead. The guildmaster should be able to take care of herself.

But is there supposed to be like eighty dudes showing up? I can't even target them all and as soon as Thubyrgeim goes down (I can't heal her fast enough considering how much damage she's taking), I die in about 2 seconds. Please tell me someone is planning to fix it. Not every is lucky enough to cling to dear life through the fight and win.

some saw a similar issue durring Early access w/ gathering shadows when the poor Duty Server was crying in Agony of Server load. if you were to get in you either got a Broken fight which skipped the CS and the 2 wouldnt move or act or the instance would work properly.
