insane lag

Anyone else been having insane lag spikes the last 2 days?

I get about 15 seconds of inactivity and then it plays catch up...this happens about every minute or so and only started over the last two days. Occasionally this results in error 90k and it is making the game unplayable.

I have tried to reset my modem and router. everything else runs fine..the problem is only in this game.

I've run into this before, though not at the frequency you have. It'll happen maybe twice a day.

It's weird but it seems the longer you play the more frequent it happens. I will usually run perfect until about an hour or two and get a spike, and then another spike 20 mins later, and one point I was getting them every 10 mins so I had to restart. (luckily it was a 2am so I actually got back on)

Vanity pets, summoner avatars and carbuncles do not help...none of these should be allowed in the cities.

I played upwards of four hours the day before last and this didn't happen at all. Only problem I had was when my graphics driver crashed and the game vomited all over my screen. Mayhap your ISP is throttling your connection?

This is happening to me and i only really noticed it being as bad as it is in the last two days, same as you. It's weird and annoying and it does make playing extremely difficult, it's happening almost constantly with me, even in areas that don't seem that "busy". I've updated my drivers and turned my settings down to minimal (even though i should be able to play on standard) as i thought that might be contributing to the issue (i'm not very tech-savvy) but it made no difference. I'm hoping it will get better after the massive maintenance on the 4th D:

Up until the day before yesterday I'd been able to play regularly. Usually for at least 5 hours at a time with no really bad lag spikes. Yesterday I logged in and noticed that the lag was pretty bad. After a really bad lag spike I got booted and error 90000. Got back in 20 minutes later and same thing happnened during a fate. I noticed that my receiving drops down to 0 and then shoots up to about 14000 to catch up. If it doesn't respond fast enough I get 90000'd. Checked all connections and called ISP today. FFXIV is the only game that does this for me.

Have the same problem. Been playing for about 4 hrs, and then the lag started. Sending OK, but not receiving.
Eventually while in a dungeon i got 90000'd. I haven't been able to reconnect since due to 1017. That was 6 hours ago.
I'm so tired of this crap.

It Happens to me but only after I've been in the game awhile. I was logged in well over 12 hours cause I fell asleep waiting for the duty finder. It usually happens when I jump into a new area and it want to load everything at the same time. The chat log however suffers no lag. I usually don't get this lag cause i don't stay logged in.

I've tried a speed test, DNS flush, updating my drivers, restarting modem and router....everything i could think of and no change. and ONLY in this game.
