You can always join Masamune. It's the Legacy Oceanic server. It's really no different than a new server... the prices are a little higher, but you don't need to buy equipment until later levels anyway.

I'm on Alexander and looking for an active free company (one I am in atm has very few active members), but an Oceanic player also.
i'm almost positive that on tonberry aus/sea > JP
REVEN, MIRAI, INW, SGC,MINA,SYN are all aus/sea FC and i find them everywhere
I feel like the only JP speaker i saw is the guy the yelling for jp recurit in shout
if somehow they open up the oceanic tag server
CAN YOU ATLEAST ADD SOUTHEAST ASIA in to your country list when we register the account
seriously, some unknown island list in it but not a single SE asia country on them
and i feel like they not group duty finder group for masamune and tonberry together which result in longer queue time for "eng duty finder"
It definitely feels that way. I queued into HM Ifrit earlier today, and every player in the group was from Tonberry. Incidentally it was a good group, so we formed a party and smashed it out for a couple of hours. From my experience, it seems most English players in Duty Finder are on Tonberry (from the JP world list at least). Incidentally, I have encounters Japanese players with multiple (or all) level 50 classes on the one character, so some legacy servers are definitely in there.
I play on Ultima (jp) and have found that there are quite a few English speaking people lurking around. My free company is mainly made up of West Aussies! I was pretty stunned at that, when I played ffxi I did not even encounter another Aussie let alone a WEST Aussie. Feel free to check out Ultima. Its a very good world. I think with JP world's is that you have to look for other English speakers. Oh, we're there, we just don't have a huge number. I think perhaps a lot of Aussie's went to US worlds perhaps thinking it would be the same set up as WoW. It definitely isn't. I have excellent ping 95% of the time and quite enjoy my FC. Good luck with the hunt
