Multiple connection problems

I'm kind of getting frustrated by the plethora of problems encountered when trying to log in. I'll try to get to my character, which I will be then told that I can't find my servers (NA/EU) and that I'm supposed to assume that they are down (when they aren't). Which requires a few log outs to fix, no biggie. Then it's followed by at least an hour of spamming numpad 0 to try to get a place in the queue. Which either I get let in within 5 seconds which makes no sense cause I was at 500 in the queue, or it drops me a couple minutes in saying that the server has encountered an error. Then it's rinse and repeat from step 1.

I really am lost for words on the logic behind Square Enix and they way the are handling the game. They have 2 systems in the game that cause many of problems and refuse to change either of them. Those would obviously be not getting kicked out for afking and not having a queue system. There is no reason why at 6 in the morning I should be getting a message telling me that the server is full.

Anyone else encountering the same problems in my first paragraph though?
