The benefit for this is that each behest will be balanced and not crowed on only one spot.

I know each Aetherye Gate is made for different rank so if developer can create a way to make more behest spot for the chain this could be fun. Of course, mobs could be tougher and final boss could be more interesting....and uglier.

please, lock the rank of players in that behest like only allow R20-25 to that area, and R25-30 to another so the sp will not be messed up.
It wouldn't even have to be to another Aetheryte Gate, as soon as the final behest monster fails, another Behest NPC shows up. "Thank Azeyma you're here! Monster's have started to attack <the closest Hamlet> and we need your help to repel the attack. Blah, blah, blah." Or any variety of other things.

It would be nice to earn non-gil awards from completing a Behest, possibly Behest faction points or currency, that could be used to purchase skills, bonuses for Behest, or allow you entry into special, instanced Behests, much like how faction points work with levequests.

you seem to of noticed the fail of the beginning of you post at the end when you realized bringing rank 20 players to a rank 30 area wouldn't be a good idea, especially since you want to cap the behest. Even without a cap you would still have crowded behest cause you'd have the people already at nophica and the people you just brought there. Also i suppose the people at nophica would be going to horizon only do rebalance out what had already started.

Oh well, you had an idea of your own and didn't choose to sit there and shoot down someone elses as i have, so thanks for that.

I would like to see the behest mobs come at you in a vicious attack mode from different angles(making all mobs claimed of course) and have it like a defend the area scenario(but better then the crappy defend the area leves were the mobs take forever to spawn) and be kinda overwhelmed, making massive AOE attack possible and have tanking be more essential.

I just want to throw in another voice of support for the OP's (and many others') ideas, but especially this one:

Auto-group everyone who accepts the behest into a party.
Too much time is wasted by people having to form their own party in a behest.
As soon as you talk to the Battlewarden and get flagged for Behest, the system should auto-group you with anyone else flagged at camp. It has been especially apparent as of late, going back and leveling up some off jobs from 1-30, that many new players do not understand how Behest works and do not realize that it's better to group up. This is especially hard to convey when you're trying to explain it to someone who speaks another language. It would be so much nicer if Behest just auto-grouped participants!

After rerolling and levelling a new character as of 1.18, I had a few concerns about the lower level behest camps, mostly concerning the ratio of mobs vs # of participants.

I am finding that the majority of the lower level behest camps are very under used, mainly i believe this to be due to the lack of lower level people in the game currently and the game population as a whole.

I am almost always in behest all on my own and am finding due to the scaling of mobs per participants they arent yielding much SP rewards at all, im getting maybe 3-4 mobs + a boss or two at max, giving relatively small amounts of SP each, maybe 100-150 each, its not really a great way to level anymore for the 1-20 people at all due to the really low amounts of mobs because there are barely any participants at all and it is really restricting Behest. It makes for a very bland event as well when you can rush and complete it in about 2minutes solo, it'd be nice to have enough mobs for it to last longer and prolong the fun and excitement.

Really what im asking is if it is a valid option to increase the # of mobs in a behest for people who find themselves all on their own to make it a more valid option to partake in.
It'd be nice to give more of an incentive for people to do behest other than SP as well, maybe reward us with a special behest type currency to unlock extra encounters/craft materials/region themed specific gear or even aesthetic gear options such as monster costumes etc...

Making the gear specific to each region would give people the incntive to actually take part in behest outside of Ul'dah where the majority of the population is usually playing, which is another of my concerns, hardly anybody is doing anything outside of the Ul'dah areas where everybody seems to be centralising themselves, as much as i like the Ul'dah areas i'd rather not have to spend all of my time there as it gets rather bland and boring after a while.

I would also very much like to see a greater variety of mob types within behest, as well as making the bosses a little more dramatic, even for the lower levels it'd be nice for the boss to be a lower level beastman or something of the like, nothing too awesome, but i'd rather have a boss be something fearsome rather than a group of 3 rats or dodos.

I also agree - remove the Behest Time limit. Also - implement more Beastmen/more challenging monsters as well as a harder "boss". At least make us earn the free exp.

    Agreed with some points here:
    • Autogroup behest parties
    • Bring in beastmen to behests
    • more vicious looking mobs befitting of a behest.
    • Have variation in difficulty between mobs, some weaker, some more mini boss style
    • Have the mobs spread out, so challenges lie in progression, also this gives more control.
    • NM style final boss with minions.
    • Have a horn sound prior to behest so people get aware and excited to jump in.
    • Maybe have a few beastmen scout the camp intially and upon attack run back to hideout or ambush.
    • Better suitable rewards, perhaps a point system that can be used to purchase certain things from wardens at camps, scrolls, items, potions, etc.

Please change the awful music! It really could be much more pumping than that ancient atari midi style music.. give us some bass and drums.. an adrenaline rush.

Overall, besides the minor tweaks here and there, Please Add Creativity.. give it a twist, a kick to it, make it more entertaining. I find the most troubling thing is how awfully dull it is now.

I would like to see SE copy Warhammer's Public Quest system, verbatim. Yes that game was ultimately a failure, but the Public Quest system was one of the nice innovations and contributions that game made to the MMO genre imo. With the new multi-claim system being implemented, this shouldn't be a problem where players will have the choice of grouping together, or not.

For those who are not familiar with Warhammer's Public Quest it went something like this:
    • You arrive at a camp and see a timer for a scripted event cycle.
    • Mobs spawn and you need to kill a set # before the next cycle begins.
    • Bosses or Named Mobs spawn and you need to kill them.
    • Contribution is tallied and calculated via damage and healing over the course of the event.
    • Loot bags are distributed to the top 3-10 contributors, with the highest contributors getting a chance at rarer bags.
    • Each bag has a set loot table that has items that can be used by any of the main class types.
    • The more rare bags have better loot, with loot being appropriate range for the individual camp.

This model satisfies a number of different gameplay aspects and would build on what Behest already provides to a limited degree while addressing some of its core deficiencies:
    • Alternative method of leveling for each level range.
    • A means to play in group or solo and contribute effectively.
    • Fun and engaging boss fights at early levels.
    • Loot you can use!
