Also as someone mentioned in another thread you could try queueing for In Progress Dungeons and Selecting all the languages instead of just the one you speak. In most of the dungeons I've done nobody even says anything so the language shouldn't be an issue. Then there is the auto-translate, that is fairly decent too.

Join an active LS. Most people are more than willing to help, especially when this game has made it so easy to help with lower level dungeons ESPECIALLY if you are a tank/healer who are of much higher level, because earlier dungeons are always easier than later one (ok that was generalising).

and also, difficulty in finding party as a DD is inevitable. DD classes are very aesthetically appealing (just look at drg) and therefore attract more people.

a good suggestion would be, just look for a healer or a tank. once you are in a party i.e. you + the healer/tank, log onto duty finder. it will be much easier to get a party that way.

The reason most people don't want to play a Tank or Healer is down to the community, same problem I had with WOW, EQ and a few others. The Tank & Healer are just as essential as the DPs for getting through a dungeon, however the moment something goes wrong the tendency is to blame the Tank or the Healer for not doing their job properly. That discourages people from playing that class and leads to a shortage of people to fulfill the role, very quickly those people who do stick it out are scooped up by guilds and stop doing PuG runs. Which means that the general ability to get into dungeons for low level PCs drops. The only way to fix it is for the community as a whole to change and we all know that's about as likely as a completely bug free release.

No matter a person's reason for choosing DPS, the fact is that there is just a huge over-saturation, and if you want to soldier on as DPS (as I do, because I genuinely enjoy it), you're going to need to befriend some people.

I waited over an hour for the Duty Finder to match me up. Then a friend - playing as a Tank - from my Linkshell joined me. It took about 2 minutes, if that, to get into the dungeon after that. Healers and Tanks are like gold dust right now. If you find a good, friendly one, grab on and never let go. :P
