Transpose main porpuse is so you dont have to cast twice to get Umbral Ice or Astral Fire back up. If you use Blizz or Fire they cancel each other out. So you use transpose to you always have full MP or Astral Fire up at all times. No MP hit transpose while astral fire active converts to umbral ice, cast spells, fill up MP bar transpose go back to nuking. Rinse and repeat. Blizzard does not take the place of transpose it is to make a faster transition of one to the other. Makes BLM the High DD that is suppose to be without having to rely on RDM, BRD, or kneeling(FFXI) to gain MP back.

This is simply false. You should be careful about the information you spread.
1) Transpose does not transfer full stacks. It will remove a full stack and give you one stack of the opposite buff.
2) Fire III and Blizzard III do not function like I or II in that they do not cancel each other out. Instead Fire III, for example, will remove a full stack of Umbral Ice and replace it with a full stack of Astral III. Blizzard III does the opposite.

As such, Fire III and Blizzard III are the fastest and most efficient way to go from one stack to the other. Their damage is reduced but some is better than none like Transpose. Also, the cast times of the opposite spell is reduced when you get 3 stacks (level 40). This makes the switch even more seamless. Transpose seems to have its uses when movement is requirement, but it is situational.
