Fantastic Game

Server and login issues aside, I just wanted to say that I think this game is pretty awesome.

I love the attention to detail present, the game looks and feels fantastic. The new UI is very responsive which was a major concern for me back with the first release. The UI customisation is really neat too, though I would like to see a scaling element involved and to be able to move the chat box as well.

Options, there are so many options that I can customise to make the game play how I want it to, from changing the colour of names to adjusting map transparency and so forth, really great stuff! I love to be able to customise my game to how I want to play rather than how the developers want me to play and this level of customisation is superb.

The graphics and animations are really great even on my standard desktop configuration too but my favourite thing as with any Final Fantasy game is the music and I can tell I'm already hooked on it! cont.

I love Gridania (hope I spelt that correctly) it's so majestic with all the wooden buildings and furniture and oh I forgot! Thank you for the day and night cycles, I've played so many MMO's without it I forgot what It was like to have it! Having been in Limsa Lominsa and it turning night to look up at the bright shining moon and the glowing stars was fantastic!

The emotes are fun, and I was surprised that if I typed /sit near an unoccupied chair it would park me on it! Same with a bed too which is pretty cool!

I'm not as high level as a lot of you are as I've mainly just been running around, exploring and getting to grips with everything for the time being but I've enjoyed my time in game so far. I have yet to decide what exactly I want to play as but that decision will come with time, so thanks for the great work and I appreciate the free game time to come check out all the improvements made to the game since the initial launch a while back.

I've only been able to get up to level 4 myself but very impressed nonetheless! Also as for website improvements it would be great if we could see an upped character limit (thinking 5k characters or more) as well as some general layout improvements making information more accessible and easier to find.

Honestly, I first thought this was a sarcastic post (there have been lots of this). I have to say... It's great it wasn't. It's good to know that you focused on the in-game experiences the game offers,

Btw, the /sit thing when near objects is awesome when I first saw it

The game is honestly a much better and bigger improvement over FFXIV's first launch.. even the gameplay is a bit better. The only problem with the game itself that i have, is the lack of 'acquiring' your new skills (at least up to the lvl 10 i got on my archer). I remember in FFXI and FFXIV's first incarnation you had to find and buy/acquire your new skills and such. Sure it was a bit of a money-sink.. but it gave you a reason to go back to town or go to other towns in the case of spells. Now your just handed them.

I love the game, love the way it looks. even spent 5 minutes staring at a waterfall that went over the path was was running down threw Gridania's forest area (think it was Central Shroud?).

I just wish i could actually play it again... that spurt were it went from lvl 1 to lvl 10 after an all-nighter playing, is the one and only time ive been able to get on in the past 5 days.

I know how you feel Rahs but hang in there. I forgot to mention as well that I thought the character creation was pretty neat too. Not on the same level as my old MMO City of Heroes but still better than most MMO's on the market for sure. Being able to toggle between job clothes and various locations and change between day and night was a great idea.

I think I will be hopping on to one of the new servers once they open, hopefully they will be more stable by wednesday!

so awesome to see a thread like this in a sea of complaints. ill admit its been frustrating dealing with the login issues, but getting in and playing this wonderful game makes up for it. im new to mmo for the most part and I had my first dungeon tonight at it was just way too much fun, completely sold me on the game. the game world is just so well done. thank you square enix for making such a great game. I hope they keep up the good work

I dont know about the ps3 but if on pc you can move the chat box by clickhold on general tab. You can also sclae some the ui between small, medium, large by hold down ctrl and pressing home key.

I totally agree with you, the 1017 errors are annoying but it doesn't bother me because the game is so good. I hope everyone gives SE a little time to fix this before they bail. I love this game!!!
