If by 'recieved my FF XIV' you mean you got a hard copy then the solution is much simplier:

The product code you need to register is actually in the case along with the manual and Square Enix Members Code etc.


When registering it
DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE CLICK ANYTHING THAT READS "create a new service account".
