Poor performance from a high-end build?

My CPU has about 35% load with hyperthreading on, so don't even bother talking about some CPU bottleneck. an i7 3770k @ 5ghz is a golden chip.

thats what i was talking about even if HT is on unless your running like photoshop or blender HT IS 100 percent worthless in games UNLESS game makers start to CODE them to take advantage of it.... Your lucky they code for dual core properly let alone multi core... So even tho you have a i7 3700k chip its just a fart stain more powerfull then a i5 4670K by 1-2 percent which in real world means 0....

so again its nice you have a overclock on it but that cpu is by far NOT THE BEST. its not the worst but you would have been better off getting a stronger i5 then going with the i7 UNLESS you have a specific need for HT...

so as i said Does not matter if you have HT enabled or not... its not being used its worthless your cpu is no better then a high end I5 except you paid more for it...

If you get a overclocked Core i7 CPU to 4ghz for example, it will run at least as well as a 4ghz Core 2 Quad, which is great. But if you get a core i7 920 that is not overclocked and runs at 2.66ghz, the Core 2 Quad at 3.2ghz is going to be faster.

dont know how else to spell it out for you... but we can all agree on one thing the game needs some optimization love.

I'm not trying to bash you put you down or toll you... It just seems that people think newer faster or with more features is always better that's not always true... While newer might support more on die instruction sets or having the memory controller moved from the mb to the cpu. Or support things Like HT that's great but unless you have a spcific need for those features your just paying for stuff you will may never use.. A high end I5 would have saved you some money and netted you the same amount of performance. If all you do is game.
