Like I said earlier I am not mad just tired of cutting SE so much slack and them expecting all of us to quietly take it. This nonsense about just leave no one wants you anyway make room for another. Those who comment like that are the problem not customers like me who have said their patience is wearing thin.

Since it was commented on, I posted here because this is where the discussions are happening because the inability to log in is indeed a technical issue. I represent what I am sure are 100's if not 1000's of experienced mmo player who do understand what is expected in a launch about 6 years ago. We are now in 2013 and SE is an AAA company dealing in millions of dollars. We do have a right as customers to expect a better situation at launch, or at least a direct e-mail explaining what is going on. Yes I said a direct e-mail, they can do that just like they can bill each of us separately.

What I do not understand is why some of you seem to think this is a charity and we are lucky and privileged to play FFXIV. Wrong, SE is lucky to have us for customers. No other industry would get away with what big MMO companies do who screw up a launch. SE should take a lesson from Trion and the launch of Rift.

im definitely not done. despite the login issues, I got some decent game time in otherwise. it's a great game and I will be a subscriber for the forseeable future. what can I say, i grew up playing final fantasy so the material appeals to me much more than an elder scrolls or wow.

It is hard to believe they will ever get them ironed out. How long do we have to wait. I have been in dozens of mmos launches since 1996 with Meridian 59 and this is the worst.

So you're saying you didn't play Anarchy Online then? Lordy that was a bad launch. Fun game in its time but horrible launch.

I can understand that. I am not a big FF fan I played a few and they were ok. What interested me was what I did find entertaining in FF as an mmo. I am first and foremost an mmo player I was intrigued with FFXI but only played a few months but it was fun enough for me to explore FFXIV in beta and I enjoyed it. I have a feeling there are a lot of others who are here more for the mmo and less for FF and were surprised by the beta for FFXIV. SE is in danger of losing a lot of these players. Not all of us are as committed to the FF franchise as some of the players.

I can hear some responses saying "good leave then, give me your stuff, make room for a FF fan" however I think FFXIV will need a lot of players not only FF fans to pay the bills. Having FFXIV 1.0 fail after years of development, then more years of development to fix 1.0, and the loss of 134 million reported early this year, SE needs all of us and our money. They need FFXIV to be a cross over hit, it has that potential, but with each day of a screwed up launch more are "done". I think the main reason so many are mad is SE already has our money. If this was free to play or we were not billed yet then we would have no reason to complain. However, I purchased the pre-order collector's Edition directly from SE and they have had my money for over two months and I have not gotten nearly the access I should have from them. This is not just complaining it is business.
