    Combined EU/NA Data centre, why?

Why have a combined data centre for NA and EU? Why not split them up into two separate data centres? It makes maintenance occur during prime time for one of the two time zones, right?

Why have JP server list listed upon launching the game? Why would I even want to play there if I got an EU account. The ping is probably much higher. Same goes with NA servers (if they would be separate that is).

Why keep information regarding JP problems on the EU (or NA) site (http://eu.finalfantasyxiv.com). Frankly I don't really care about what's going on there. For example "[EU] Several Worlds Login Difficulties (Sep. 2)" (http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...s-%28Sep.-2%29) OH my god! :'( But then I keep reading the post which says "We are currently experiencing technical difficulties wherein players on the Japanese data centre Worlds..." Wait what?

Because they only care about pleasing their Japanese players, apparently.

If there is a reason (besides what you stated) it would be interesting to know.
