    Changing jobs - talent switch

Just wondering if there is any simple way to have your talents change automatically when you change jobs/role?

Same will go for gear I guess if I ever find any.

Unfortunately, no, you will have to manually change them or set up macros to do so, and of course will have to keep updating these as you get new equipment and abilities.

Ouch - not what I was hoping to hear. Maybe in a later patch

    Thanks for the reply.

I've got macros set up for all my jobs, for roles within those jobs (DPS vs. tanking vs. healing, etc.) and all my gear sets. It takes a little while to set up and update, but you end up saving time using the macros. The idea of changing out 3 bars worth of abilities, plus all my gear, every time I change jobs, is just an incredible time sink.

Here's a Zam post on setting up macros. And here's one from Eorzeapedia.

The devs have said they're looking into saving job settings, so it's probably going to be added to the game eventually. But I wouldn't count on it being implemented for a few months, at least.

For now, macros are the way to go.

Because my CON and THM have only slight differences, I use 3 macros to set my "mage actions"--and change 3-4 things manually.

Basically you make a macro consisting of:
    /eaction 11 "Shadowfall"
    /eaction 12 "Bio II"
    /eaction 13 "Dia II"
    /eaction 14 "Poison II"
    etc etc etc

Like Vydarr wrote, a "template" sort of system is in the works, but macros work for now.

A lot of your abilities will cross over classes; changing from Marauder to Lancer doesn't require changing every action.

It's not as bad as it sounds >.>

To make it faster to setup new macros with gear and actions I made macros with just the /eaction 1-10, 11-20, 21-30 and one with the main armor. Then i just copy and paste them so i don't have to retype all that information.
