    I am worried. The maintenance only add extra worlds.

    only add more servers. Why they are not increasing the maximum capacity of each server? Right now maximum per server is only 5k concurrent players , they should increase that to 10k-20k instead of adding new servers.

    Why they never learnt?

    They are addressing concurrent login, adding worlds, and fixing duty finder. Or at least thems the words on da streets.

    The servers are made to hold up to 5000. They have had it capped lower to help the network issues. Do the math.

    To resolve this issue, we will be performing maintenance from September 3, 2013, at 5:00 p.m. to September 4, 2013, at 3:00 a.m (PDT), for the purpose of increasing the number of available Worlds, reducing stress on the Duty Finder servers, and increasing the number of concurrent logins allowed for each server.

    for each duty server ..maybe


    right now you cannot buy the game
    if you already have the game on disc you cannot create a character on any world or region
    they ARE ALL FULL!
    but wait theres more, they are not just full, they are overfilled, aka 1017

    it would not surprise me if this maintenance did not change anything that we will notice immediately
    there will still be massive error battles and much punishing of the keypad zero to come.

    I already said 5k concurrent user is really not much. WoW server can hold up to 20k concurrent users. At least up the cap to 10k per server?

    Duty Finder is the reason for the 5000 cap. Before they implemented that cap, duty finder continuously broke from being overloaded. Many of the game's quest use the DF system (All single player instances, not just dungeons). If they improve the DF and allow it to take more connections then they can lift the 5000 cap. The cap is not a bug. It's intentional.

    The early announcements left out that last part, but each announcement has been more comprehensive than the previous one, and it is now indeed clear that they are adding capacity to each server, in addition to adding new worlds.

    Unfortunately, this rumor is persistent due to the early vague announcements only describing new server capacity. But it is now (almost) widely known that existing servers will also see a boost to capacity.

    WoW servers are also running a game engine from over a decade ago on new equipment. Not really a comparison there.
