Chocobo Companion kills not getting loot to drop possible bug

Spent a solid 3 hours today farming boar hides and for near the last half hour i noticed my chocobo was getting the kills do to me getting tired of spamming combo's for that half hour of my chocobo getting the kill 0 drops and i mean 0 drops...

to check i set chocobo to healer mode so as not to attack monster, killed instant loot and HQ to drop did this for 50 mobs loot dropped a total 37 times vs the 0 when chocobo was getting the kill. I will do further testing but this worries me. '

Anyone else experiencing this?

Yep, it's the same with pets. If they kill a mob alone, you won't get any exp.

This happens if choco kills alone or just gets the final hit?

I was simply auto attacking and noticed he usually got the final blow and after a half hour I watched closely and sure enough... I was contributing to the fight just not going all out with combos. so Def not me just getting the mobs attention and chocobo fighting solo.

Maybe that explains it. I just thought I hit an unlucky streak while I was farming with my choco.
