I miss skillchains as well. That was a great mechanic, which, as you mentioned, required teamwork and coordination. The grinding component of FFXI is not something that I miss, but skillchains and Limit Breaks for each character are something that I would like to see reworked into FFXIV.

Astralen actually made sense with stating its best to quit peacefully. The children on these forums that rant for attention and to show their "expertise" on a video game (your parents must be so proud) are only doing it to try to rally a following to make them feel better about themselves

Clearly he hasn't played the game long enough because I am smashing my face on the keyboard trying to get every skill I have placed on the enemies and carefully measuring my enmity against the tanks.

MMOs require more than a few hours of game play to understand or appreciate. You have to play 40+ hours and when you do that then we'll talk. Until then I have to agree with some others that he just needs to stop ranting until he has played 40 hours or quit playing altogether because he's just in the minority here.

Nothing is going to change about that 2 and a half second cooldown. That ruins the game from the outset for me.

Hating the feel of it also, but what makes me more annoyed is the skills that are not on the global cooldown. They have a delay on them, it's either coded wrong or maybe an internal global cooldown, either way it should be instant.

Pretty sure I've already addressed that. It's the only new MMO out atm, or else it wouldn't be as popular. Once my friends quit, I quit. I'm hanging in there solely to play with them. Fuck me right?

OP, Sounds like you played too many MMO's and are just MMO-tired.

1.5 global cooldown makes combat "Push all the buttons at the same on turbo mode!"-like. The 2.5 secs is just fine. Played WoW, my fingers always were "hurting" after a full day of playing the game. Haven't had that here...
