Lodestone website shows that the NA/EU servers are online. There is no recent message about NA servers being down. Any past time that I was not able to connect there was a message on the website regarding the issue, but this time there is not. Is it only me who is unable to connect or is everyone having the same issue?

I'm getting the "Unable to update the Group NA/EU character list" message when trying log in. Stuck at the lobby, can't select characters.

Yeah I came to the main ffxiv website and all they say is about Japan servers and maintenance, nothing on NA

i FINALLY get on... doing some botany... Then BAM booted from the server, and when i try to log back in cannot find EU / NA World list.... What is the deal?! The servers still say up, did they crash or was i booted? Very irritating. This needs to be fixed sooner than later.

Only problem here SE is that i was BOOTED. So friggin annoying. So lemme guess, if it was just the log in issue, once this garbage is back up i'll have to completely go through the 1017 dance again, right? So annoying.

Frequency: FREQUENTLY for past several days
Issue:
First encountered 1017 error saying world server was full, tried several times to get into EXTREMELY limited queue, finally gave up and came to forums to see if there were any known issues, closed the forums, rebooted my system, tried to log into game again, and now all NA/EU servers are unable to update. Only seeing Japanese servers.

Note: I'm not sure where our pre-order funds went, but I'm not seeing much priority being placed on good customer service for NA/EU players. None of my tickets were addressed with any real response, all I got was a form letter for each one --about 10 days later-- informing me that they had been closed because they had gone unanswered for over 48 hours. I'm surprised the Phase 4 Beta/Early Access debacle was handled so poorly that they didn't forecast well enough to accommodate for more servers to address the obvious crush of new players that wanted to participate in this game.

I admit, when I can actually play, the game is as enjoyable as I hoped it would be, but these connectivity issues are damn near unforgivable.

Some of my friends have chosen NOT to stay with the game because of character creation limitations. They haven't been able to join us on the server we already made characters and leveled on. The ones that have been able to make characters have NOT been able to connect when they actually have free time. We're friends in real life, so this barrier to game access on the same server has only hurt your chances of retaining them as customers.

Same here. Got booted when i zoned, got 1017 a few times then launcher errored and wouldnt work at all. Now launcher started working but says cant load na/eu worlds/characters

i can see my character again.... And just as i thought back to the 1017 dance again!!!!!!! YAY!!!
