Loot not awarded after pressing "Need"

Hi guys, here's my issue:

I was doing Ifrit (Hard mode) yesterday and I was the only Scholar in my group. When we finally killed him, the Scholar book dropped and I pressed "Need". Being the only Scholar in the group, I was sure to get it and was pretty happy. However, when leaving the dungeon, I realized that the weapon never actually got into my armory chest or my inventory.

It would be nice to actually know what happened and, if possible, have a GM look at the logs and put the book I was supposed to get in my inventory.

P.S. I tried my luck and did Ifrit (Hard mode) a total of 12 times after that... it never dropped again.

Need doesn't guarantee you the items - check the chat logs to see who got it but most certainly there was another player who "needed" it as well and got lucky with better roll. Tough luck.

If you left the dungeon before the loot was actually distributed, then yeah... You lost it.

This is probably what happened. You have to stay in the dungeon until the loot is actually passed out, or you don't get it.
