And to the "they're the same thing right now" people or the "they're on par" people. No, they aren't. Maybe some distant day they will be, but not today.

So if they're not "the same" or "on par", explain how they aren't, because I current play FFXI, FFXIV, Rapplez and Rift -- all 4 games I can get gear just fine from the respective market systems. It's more like people seem to think alternatives can't exist in the world of MMORPGs.
