EXP Lost When Higher Hits Lower's Mobs?

Do lower level players lose mass amounts of XP when a higher level hits their mobs?

If not can you please reference a thread or dev which proves/says this?

In my experience of getting my other half up to my level - no it doesnt affect it. So long as the player made enough contribution to the kill of that mob it will get the exp that is appropriate for that mob and their level. I've helped him attack level 28 while only 23 himself and he got more exp than if he was to hit 23 mobs.

You need to do at least 30% damage on the mob to be eligible for exp, the exp difference is hardly anything.

I understand that folks have experience, I agree in my experience there is no difference, however I am looking for a solid thread/fact from a dev to PROVE this. I believe it's true you lose nothing, however I have no proof.
