I've held my tongue for a long time about this, but something has to be said. This upcoming server work and such were hardly do a damned thing.

There will still be hundreds of AFKers clogging up spots on the old servers, the new servers will be filled in a mere few hours or less, and have the EXACT same congestion as the old ones do now, due to AFKing.

It will have been a week tomorrow, a week and a half in fact for early access users since most of us have gotten to play regularly. I quite honestly feel ripped off in having spent my hard earned money on this game. I love it to death when I get that sliver of time to actually play it, but I paid essentially for something that was broken as soon as I opened it.

I have a 7 month old son so my play time is limited to WHEN I can get on due to the nature of taking care of a small child, meaning I can't wait around and try to log in through this nonsense for an hour at a time. It's gotten to the point that even during the wee hours of the morning it's impossible to log in. Normally I wouldn't even be able to attempt this, but in having Labor Day weekend off I got to try this morning.

And I also didn't get to play, at all. Nothing short of an AFK timer will eleviate this until the influx of the population dies down, which could be weeks if not months. I WILL NOT sit here and take this that long.

I've say back and simply held my tongue, having some sort of faith than SE would handle this reasonably and in a timely manner. Nothing has happened with the exception of things getting worse by the day.

My patience has grown thin. I didn't buy this game and be expected to pay a monthly fee to play it only to be able to play during off-peak hours, when the servers decide it's a good time to let me in.

This is beyond ridiculous, and I'm beginning to feel pretty stupid to the handful of people I hyped this game up to. They took my word and bought this, but not only can they not play, but even if somehow they magically were able to through some stroke of luck, they also cannot create a character on my server, COMPLETELY eliminating the entire point of their purchasing decision. And here I stand, looking like a jackass in having wasted their money.


I do acknowledge that SE is not just simply sitting on their asses and they're actively trying to make this right, and I commend them for the effort. But something seriously needs to be done quickly. AFK timers, reinstating a queue, even if extremely long, ANYTHING at this point to help even minimally lessen this problem.

I hate to say this, but this game should have been delayed for a few weeks to maybe even a month after seeing how this worked in beta phase 4 and early access.


Again I didn't want to speak up, but I'm getting fed up with it. I'd been beta testing this for months prior to launch and I genuinely feel this is a wonderful game, but it's flat out broken at the moment.

I know the up coming maintenance is intending to work on the Duty servers, and I hope this fixes things, because I understand that the reason the population cap on servers is so low is due to this error in the first place.

Honestly dude do you feel you are the only one who has grievances to air. The same grievances that everyone else has been complaining about for almost a week.

I've held my tongue for a while on this, and just let it slide, trying to just keep being positive and thinking it'd work itself out. As I stated...my patience is wearing pretty thin.

I'll validate the OP: No matter how you cut it, you are not getting the product you paid for as advertised. I have nothing against the individuals at SE; I'm sure they are good people.. But their business model here is a disaster and unfortunately a lost opportunity. The overwhelming response to the game they initially got may be fleeting as people who were lukewarm to the game when they bought it in the first place walk away due to poor service.

I am also skeptical about the "incoming fixes"

Finally, I feel the same way - I got a group of people to jump on board with me onto this game and I am embarrassed now by what they are going through.
