    No, I am not new to Internet forums.
    This is the technical support forum, I'm encountering an issue that I have not before, a scan of the front page of the technical support forums suggested no other topics with a similar issue. Since I'm getting 1017 at the character selection screen, and not when I'm trying to actually pick my character to log in with it, it seemed to warrant a post. Please do not make assumptions of me for asking a question.
