Still cant log in.......

So.. yesterday, i spent a entire 30 minuts trying to log into my character, only to get 1017 errors over and over again, then getting into the queue, only to get disconnected from the queue after 2 minuts, then spending more time playing tag with the 1017 error.

Now today... im BACK to getting that BS about being unable to populate the NA/EU Server/Character list.

im about [] close to simply walking away... even though FFXIV ARR isa bout 10x better than FFXIV's first launch... from the little bit ive been able to play at any rate...

Dude, Please read the posts the staff makes. They are installing new servers on Wednesday. New worlds will be added, as well as old worlds being put on split processing, which will increase player load, and create less stress on the servers. But if you still want to walk away go ahead. This isn't the first game to have this issue, and wont be the last. And there have been MMOs with FAR worse launches, that people still play today.

Seriously guys, all these threads complaining about not being able to play, and wanting your money back, or just quitting altogether, can be nullified by doing nothing more then just reading what the devs have to say.

Their adding more worlds yes, but they've mentioned nothing about allowing people to transfer to them. All their going to do is add about 3-4 new worlds per area (na/eu and jp) then wait to see if people quit playing the characters they already have, to go to the new one. Its not gonna solve the login issues with worlds already hosing 3x their limit of players.

As for making threads like this. Ive been part of MMO's ever since the UO days. Ive been threw rough Launches before, but ive always been able to atleast LAUNCH the game, and get in world.. or into a queue that lets me know that i will be able to get in after x-time.
Ive never gotten into an MMO and see that the servers themselves are unable to be retrieved by the launcher, evne when the servers are displayed as 'up' by the server status list. Ive never been flat out told that the world was 'full' and that i should try back again later (ie. no 'queue' system) Even when the original FFXIV launched, we could get in game. Yea the lag was terrible.. but we could atleast get 'in'.

Its just frustrating. Been looking forward to ARR since it was first announced, and now that its here... It might as well not be as you cant get in.

Yah im in the same boat =( I WAS on earlier this morning but i got a sudden blast of what FELT like lag at first but wasnt. Any spells i cant would not display their animations for like 30 seconds yet the baddies were taking the damage from them as they should, when they should. I was driving me NUTS so i restarted the game (regretting that bigtime now) =(

I've waited a total of 11hrs of casual logging to try and get on the server to play with my friend, but to no avail.

I have lost all my free time to play today, but I am still not going to complain because I have much faith in the improvements SE are planning to make in the following days. I'd hate to be playing problem-free in the future and regrettably look back on how much I was a baby complaining in its current stage today.
